Planet Asia & DJ Concept - The Festival (feat. Sean Price & DJ Devastate) (Single) (2016)

Any track that features a posthumous Sean P verse is good money. Any track that starts with a verse from Decepticon Sean is twice as nice. Check out “Festival,” the latest leak from Planet Asia and DJ Concept’s upcoming joint album Seventy Nine, which features P and some cuts by DJ Devastate. This just premiered over at Noisey, which we all know was Sean’s favorite website.

Innit Records - INCTRL/Wired (2013)

In 2009, Beit Nun, Dan Bull, 777 and Pez got together in Macclesfield to record an 8 track E.P.

Once work had commenced, they encountered various issues with the studio equipment meaning the tracks could not be recorded. Using initiative, they somehow managed to record the tracks in demo quality using what equipment they had to hand.

However, during the mixing process the recordings were lost, and only 2 of the 8 tracks could be revived. These 2 tracks ('INCTRL' and 'Wired') would sit in the archives for 4 years, unreleased... until now.

Unpolished, uncompromised, organic and raw.

Single: The Legion - Straight Flow

Straight from The Bronx comes the trio CHUCKY SMASH, MOLECULES and CEE-LOW. As THE LEGION they first appeared on the amped posse cut "We Boys" on BLACK SHEEP's sophomore album "Non-Fiction" in 1994. Later that year, as signees to BLACK SHEEP's One Love imprint, they dropped the brilliant underground classic "Jingle Jangle" – an ill piano sample driven track with a highly quotable finishing verse from DRES. THE LEGION followed up with "Legion Groove" and their now much sought after debut album "Theme + Echo = Krill" (1994) featuring BLACK SHEEP, CHI-ALI and SHOWBIZ & AG.
After a hiatus for a few years, they resurfaced with the single, "Street Thing / Caught Up" (1998) on Legion Records/Fat Beats and some appearances on DRES's "Sure Shot Redemption" album. Then the Bronx trio went quiet.
While MOLECULES handled dope production for DRES, MILANO, AMANDA MARSHALL and even appeared on PINK's "Stupid Girls", CHUCKY SMASH has been hosting radio shows in the BX. The three long-time friends never stopped doing music together but it was already 2011 when the trio finally made a dope comeback on the BENEFICENCE collabo track "Aim, Fire, Spit".

Now THE LEGION and their typical raw Bronx sound is back! ILL ADRENAILN have just dropped a 7-inch single "Straight Flow / Automatic Systematic" which features two unreleased tracks recorded and mixed in 1995 at the legendary D&D Studios, NYC. These two bangers are just a teaser for all you supporters of that true hip-hop sound. So stay tuned for a rough and rugged THE LEGION full length album later this year with additional production by DJ PREMIER, SHOWBIZ and BUCKWILD!
Pre-order your white vinyl or regular black version through ILL ADRENALINE.

Single: MaddCaesar & Vic Freeze - MindState (Free Download)

8 airplane flights, countless hours, and several power naps later, "Oakland,Ohio"was born. Ohionative, Vic Freeze teams up with Northern California beat makers Madd Caesar to bring you a glimpse into their world.

This is the second leak off "Oakland,Ohio", which drops March 27th..and will feature guest appearances from Paulie Rhyme, Solis Cin, Satellite High, Cyph4, Purple Team, and Rey Resurrecion.

About Vic Freeze:

So how was Vic Freeze born? The beat machine had the same 4- bar loop playing in the small Ohio dorm room. The mic was hung down from the ceiling like a punching bag. For hours, he and his college roommate, Paul Richardson aka Paulie Rhyme, would work on their craft to hone the art of songwriting, rhyming and performing. As a result, after some dedication and hard work, Vic Freeze has shared the same stage with legends such as: Krs-One, Big Daddy Kane, Del, Wu-Tang, and Talib Kweli. From early on gaining respect on Cleveland mixtapes, performances at underground clubs, and local airplay, the sky is the limit for this genuine hip-hop artist. In late 2005, Vic put together a collection of material called Watch For Ice on The Bridge Vol.1. The unique but polished sound garnered knock and respect in the streets, selling copies out of his trunk. After touring with The Green Giants Tour in early 2008, Vic recorded the single "Now” featured on DJ Green Lantern's MySpace Invasion Mixtape series. His first national mixtape, it showed that not only hip hop heads but mainstream music appreciated his sincerity and feeling behind his songs. In 2010, after returning to the road on The Jose Mateo Tour with Paulie Rhyme and Rey Resurrecion, he is proving he is ready to turn the corner. In early 2011 he will release his first LP "The Reluctant Star" on Browntown Wreckords. Vic Freeze is a potent emcee with a fresh flow who brings the streets and the world together over rugged hip-hop tracks. A pure lyricist who emits positivity through trial and tribulation but touches everyone with honesty and his “live before you speak” attitude

About Madd Ceaser:

Madd Caesar is the collaborative effort of two producers: Madd Hatter and Nero Caesar.Madd Hatter is a hip hop producer and DJ based in Oakland CA while Nero Caesar is a hip hop producer and Emcee based in the Excelsior district of San Francisco. Their beats are the perfect example of modern hip hop that sees the future while preserving the spirit of the classics all real hip hop fans enjoy. Peep the style, get at your boys, the bar is open for business.
