The Gods are back! And how! This is the first brand new Wu-Tang Clan tune in a long time, and I gotta admit its worth the wait. OK, its not a full line up, but Inspektah Deck, Raekwon, RZA and U-God kill this grimy, gutter Frank Dukes produced banger. Its great to hear the Wu again, and this definitely whets the appetite for the Wu's final album 'A Better Tomorrow' which should be dropping later this year. The Wu's last album '8 Diagrams' was a big disappointment, but this track shows they've lost none of the lyrical sharpness they are renowned for "you stepped in the pit of the flame / you're lost on Beat Street, I'ma throw spit in your name / hear the roar when they mention the name / its like Mike when he score with like two seconds left of the game". I personally cant wait for the new album to drop, I know its gonna be on point! Wu-Tang Clan Set To Perform at Coachella 2013

Last year’s Coachella Festival was dominated by hip hop talent, mostly famously by a resurrected 2Pac as a hologram. This year’s festival will highlight another iconic hip hop act, this time not in digital form. The legendary Wu-Tang Clan will reunite to perform on the April 14 and April 21 dates. The two weekend event will be one part of Wu-tang’s year long celebration of the 20 year anniversary of their groundbreaking debut album Enter the Wu-tang (36 Chambers).

It was also announced on January 9th via the group’s Facebook page that a new album is also in the works. Method Man, Ghostface Killah, and Raekwon released their collaboration Wu-Massacre in 2010, and the 2011 compilation album, Legendary Weapons, featured several Wu members and affiliates, but the new project will be the first official Wu-tang studio album since 2007′s 8 Diagrams.
Besides Coachella and the new LP, fans may also see a full Wu-Tang world tour this year. Wu producer Rza told Power 105′s The Breakfast Club last October, “I know that the 20th year anniversary is coming up, and some of the brothers have been talking about potentially going back in, maybe do a world tour. I see like one last hurrah to close the book.”

Other hip hop acts performing at Coachella 2013 include 2 Chainz, Danny Brown, Jurassic 5, Theophilus London, Aesop Rock, Earl Sweatshirt, and Raider Klan. Rock bands The Stone Roses, Blur, Phoenix, and Red Hot Chilli Peppers are set to headline. The annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival takes place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California on April 12-14 and April 19-21.

Raekwon reveals U.S. dates for “Unexpected Victory” Tour with Freddie Gibbs

Wu-Tang member and Ice H20 founder Raekwon has just announced dates and cities for the U.S. leg of his “Unexpected Victory” tour.

The tour, which is named after the rapper’s New Year’s Day released mixtape, Unexpected Victory, kicks off at the Gargoyle Club on Wednesday, March 7th in St. Louis, MO and wraps up a month and a half later on April 20th at Ziggy’s in Winston-Salem, MA.
The 28-date tour will take Raekwon across the United States and even have him perform at this year’s SXSW Conference in Austin, TX on March 14th and 15th and at the Paid Dues Independent Hip-Hop Festival on April 7th in San Bernardino, CA.
In addition to Raekwon and his Ice H2O family, Gary, Indiana native Freddie Gibbs will be trekking across the country with “The Chef” as the tour’s opener.
Currently, Raekwon, Ghostface, and Cappadonna are putting the finishing touches on their collaborative project with The Lox titled Wu-Block, which is set for release later this year.
